  • We support leadership development through access to certified leadership coaches. Ensuring founder-led local CSOs have plans for leadership transitions and ensuring continuity.

  • We help you design agile systems for efficient and effective management of your resources and expertise. Building planning, evaluation and reflection processes into organizational culture, improving teamwork, collaboration and results.

  • We support you to develop safe operational processes, working culture and accountability to stakeholders. We train and support partners on the development of standards and practices that are fit for purpose and provide safe working standards for teams and communities.

  • We help organizations develop internal controls and systems for managing their funding effectively. We focus on desigining systems and processes that equip organizations and leaders with the financial knowledge they need to adaptively manage their budgets and funding.

2. Technical Support

  • We work with our partners to understand programmatic technical support needs and co-design a package of technical support.

  • Our approach is based on long-term support, understanding the local context, and strengthening the capacity of technical counterparts to ensure continuity and the transfer of knowledge and skills.

  • Strengthening, understanding and evaluating good governance principles & practices, in indigenous or local community contexts. Supporting partners to develop evidence-based strategies for supporting community based governance through a human-rights based approach.

  • Training and advice on supporting community led small-scale fisheries management, including governance and mobile-basad data systems. Advising on how to ingrate a human-rights based approach through the FAO voluntary guidelines for small-scale fisheries.

  • Creative and resourceful ways for robust M&E. Ensuring the collection of good impact data, enabling CSOs to develop proof of impact and build their independence from international NGOs or consultants. Supporting and advising with data management and analysis.

3. Consulting

  • We take on consulting assignments when it aligns with our mission and values. 

  • We are particularly interested in opportunities with values-aligned clients where we can evaluate, inform and advise the practices and strategies of Philanthropic institutions and international NGOs.

  • Our consulting work also subsidizes our offering to local organizations for whom we cannot identify a funding partner or who lack the resources to pay.

  • We can advise on how to localize funding strategies and practises or how to design funding practices to more effectively support local CSOs. We can also conduct research, scoping and due diligence to inform the development and growth of funding portfolios, where this aligns with our aspiration to increase direct funding for local CSOs.

  • We conduct desk based or social science research to inform program design, strategy development or evaluations. Through our extensive experience with diverse research methods, we offer insights that advance the development or adaptation of strategies in line with local needs and contexts.

  • We advise clients on the adoption and implementation of Agile practices and processes, for managing teams and projects in an impact and value oriented way. Seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness, while building regular evaluation and reflective practices into team culture. We bring these best practices from the private sector to our non profit clients.

  • Preparing organizations to scale their impact, or design their programs and organizations to deliver impact at scale. Advising on organizational strategies, culture, capacity needs, operational processes and project management that all orient organizations towards taking their impact and solutions to scale.

  • We can support the development of strategic plans that reflect organizational priorities and ambitions.
